Threats against the Russian ambassador to Turkey

The Kremlin expressed confidence that Turkey will take all measures for the security of embassy staff and all other Russians in Turkey, - presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Earlier, Ambassador to Turkey Alexei Erkhov said that he received threats on social networks due to the aggravation of the situation in Idlib,- reports agency RIA Novosty.

Peskov noted that Moscow and Ankara are working on the situation and are continuing contacts at the level of presidents and military departments, and expert delegations are also being exchanged.

It should be mentioned that few days ago the Russian ambassador in an interview with one of the newspapers mentioned the Circassians saying that there was no annihilation of the Circassians in the 19th century but because of the Circassian attacks on Russia it was necessary to conquer the Caucasus and then part of the Circassians left to Turkey.

The Circassian organizations in Turkey and Circassian aktivists immediately responded to the ambassador's remarks and published messages describing the brutality and barbarity of the Russian Empire towards the Circassians and also wrote that the facts are solid about the genocide committed against the Circassian people by the Russian empire.
