Turkey will start production of its own military aircraft

Turkey will begin production of its own military aircraft fighters by 2023, said President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"The start of production of their own military aircraft, scheduled for 2023, will be the best answer to those who do not want to supply Turkey the F-35," Erdogan said in his speech at the opening of the ammunition disposal complex in Kırıkkale.

The President added that the Turkish Air Force will soon receive locally produced Bozdoğan ballistic missiles. In the near future, the first Turkish aircraft carrier will be built at the country's shipyards.
