The conflict between the two countries and Washington’s harsh rhetoric lead to the fact that less and less Americans are ready to buy goods made in China. This is happening of the attempts of the White House to transfer production back to the United States

More than a third of US residents do not intend to buy any Chinese-made goods. This follows from a study by the FTI Consultig (* pdf) that Bloomberg noticed.

40% of respondents said that they would not buy goods manufactured in China. Another 34% said they were ready to buy goods under the “Made in China” label, but they did not really enjoy it. Only 26% said that the Chinese origin of the goods would not have any effect on their choice.
