Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia signed an agreement on cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural and other spheres. The document was signed by the heads of the republics Vyacheslav Bitarov and Kazbek Kokov on Friday.
“Today is a significant event, it is very important to update the agreement signed 25 years ago, so that the centuries-old traditions that have developed between our peoples can be successfully further developed, strengthened and already in modern realities could improve inter-republican cooperation in all areas of the socio-economic life of the two republics. This, first of all, will affect the improvement of the lives of our citizens. And the most important thing is the strengthening of brotherly bonds. We will do everything to make them stronger and passed on from generation to generation, ” the head of North Ossetia Vyacheslav Bitarov said.
“North Ossetia was the first region with which Kabardino-Balkaria signed an agreement on friendship and cooperation. The agreement has a political character, but the history of fraternal and friendly relations between our peoples goes back many centuries. Today these traditions continue, we live as one big family, but we, as representatives of the authorities, needed to update and give this a state vector, ” the head of Kabardino-Balkaria Kazbek Kokov said.
The agreement is aimed at attracting investments, developing small and medium-sized businesses, agriculture, tourism, sports, the fuel and energy complex, as well as holding joint cultural events, fairs, seminars, creating favorable conditions for the economy, etc.
The signing of the significant document was also attended by representatives of the parliament, government and heads of border regions of the two republics.
