Adygea and Kabardino-Balkaria celebrated the day of the Circassian costume

Today, September 28, in the Republic of Adygea and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, the Day of the Circassian (Adyghe) costume was celebrated. This is a fairly young holiday.

The national Circassian costume is not just clothes. It demonstrates ancient traditions and customs, and can tell both about the people in general and about a specific person.

Circassian men's dress  is a symbol of masculinity and dignity. Women's dress is the personification of tenderly and beauty.
