French Foreign Minister Le Drian called the breaking of the contract for the supply of submarines to Australia and the creation of a new AUKUS bloc "unacceptable behavior between allies and partners."
France immediately recalls its ambassadors from the United States and Australia for consultations amid the canberra's termination of a multibillion-dollar contract with Paris for the supply of French submarines. This was stated by French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on Friday, September 17,- DW reports.
"This exceptional decision is due to the extreme seriousness of the decisions announced on September 15 by Australia and the United States," the French Foreign Minister said in a communiqué.
The relations between the United States and the European Union are weakening day by day. This process began during Donald Trump's rule.
