Judo Championship of the Russian Federation will be held in Adygea

Adygea is preparing for the meeting of the personal and team championship of Russia in judo-2021. It will take place from 23 to 26 September. As the Head of the Republic of Adygea Murat Kumpilov wrote on Instagram, this is a great sporting event for the republic.

“It is natural that the national championship will be held in our republic, which is famous for the Maikop judo school, which has given the world many champions. Its founder is our famous fellow countryman, the best judo coach of the 20th century Yakub Kamboletovich Koblev,” the Head of Adygea wrote in his page on Instagram.

The founder of the Maikop judo school, the rector of the Institute of Physical Culture and Judo of the Adyghe State University, Yakub Koblev, passed away on March 3, 2012, but his work lives on. 

Over the years, world and Olympic champion Vladimir Nevzorov, Olympic champions Arsen Galstyan and Beslan Mudranov, Olympic medalist Arambiy Emizh, European and world champion Khazret Tletseri, head coach of the Russian national team, Olympic medalist Hasanbi Taov played for Adygea.
