According to a Facebook post by one of the people who participated in the congress of the International Circassian association (ICA), which took place in these days in the city of Nalchik, the capital of the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, for the position of President of the association was re-elected and for the fourth time Khauti Sakhrokov.
Sakhrokov was elected to this position for the first time in 2012. Prior to that, he was a member of the Kabardino-Balkarian administration.
Many Circassian activists, both from the homeland and the Diaspora, say that this association has not worked according to the interests of the Circassian people for a long time , so a new world organization must be established, centered in Europe.

On September 19, I took part in the 13th Congress of the International Circassian Association as a delegate.
The Congress heard and adopted the report of the ICA President on the work carried out over the past 3 years.
The governing bodies were formed - the Executive Committee and the ICA Council for the next term. Khauti Khazritovich Sakhrokov was also re-elected President of the association for another term.
One of the significant issues considered by the congress was the admission of the Circassian organization of Lebanon to the membership of ICA.
