The president of the Caucasian Federation (Kaffed) in Turkey, Yildiz Shakrigi, is currently in the homeland of the Circassians in the Caucasus. She is scheduled to attend a conference of the so-called the International Circassian association (ICA).
In the early days of the visit Yildiz Shakargi came to the Republic of Adygea where she met with representatives of social organizations, with officials of the republic, with representatives of the universities as well as with media people.
Today, she is in the city of Nalchik, the capital of the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria and will attend the conference of the association mentioned above.
For several years, the KAFFED which is a member of that association has been trying to make changes in the association, which in the opinion of the Circassian activists does not bring any benefit to the Circassian people, but without success. The form of conduct of the association (ICA) is determined by government officials of Kabardino-Balkaria.
