Kumpilov: The people of Adygea remember Valery Kokov with great respect

Today marks the 80th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding statesman and political figure, the first President of Kabardino-Balkaria Valery Mukhamedovich Kokov.

Valery Mukhamedovich devoted his whole life to serving his native republic, earning great respect from the peoples of Kabardino-Balkaria and the North Caucasus. He headed the region at a difficult time, but immediately showed himself to be a strong statesman, a wise politician, a true patriot.

Valery Kokov paid much attention to the enhancement of fraternal ties between Adygea, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Circassia. Valery Mukhamedovich made an invaluable contribution to the preservation of peace and harmony not only in the North Caucasus, but throughout the Russian Federation.

The foundation laid by Valery Kokov has become a solid foundation for the development of Kabardino-Balkaria, which today is confidently moving along the path of socio-economic transformations.

The people of Adygea remember Valery Mukhamedovich Kokov, treat him with great respect, honor the memory of this outstanding person.
