A draft in the Russian parliament prohibiting the mention of the nationality of criminals

The parliament of the Chechen Republic submitted to the State Duma-Parliament of the Russian Federation a bill prohibiting the dissemination of information about the nationality of the criminal in the media. The document was published in the electronic database of the chamber, RIA News reports.

“It is prohibited to disseminate in the media, as well as in information and telecommunication networks, information about the nationality, religion and belonging to the nations of the Russian Federation of persons involved in the commission of crimes,” the bill says.
