The head of the Republic of Adygea Murat Kumpilov, held an award ceremony for the eighth-grader of secondary school No. 1 of the village of Ponezhukai, Teuchezhsky district, Marianna Khakhuzokova, who saved her sisters during the fire.
He presented a commemorative medal of the Federation Council "For courage shown" and on behalf of the chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko congratulated the schoolgirl on the well-deserved award.
“Despite her young age, Marianne acted very bravely, took her younger sisters out of the burning house, risking her life. This is a brave deed,"- Kumpilov said.
