The United States "will be ready to act" if Russia refuses to follow the path of diplomacy and invades Ukraine, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said on Wednesday, RIA Novosti reports.
"If Russia rejects the path of diplomacy and undertakes an invasion (of Ukraine), we will be ready to act," the US Secretary of State said at a press conference following the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Riga.
He refused to disclose what actions Washington is preparing, but stressed that the United States is in close coordination with allies and partners on this issue.
