Circassian youth of Izmir celebrated the "Tigheghaze" holiday

The Youth Committee of the Circassian Association in the Turkish city of Izmir has organized a festive gathering of young people to celebrate the Tigheghaze holiday.

The president of the association, Gunai Irsuz, came to the event and congratulated the young people on this initiative.

The festive event included a meal of Circassian food prepared by the young people, Circassian games and of course Circassian dances.

"Tigheghaze" is one of the oldest Circassian holidays, celebrated on December 22. This holiday is associated with the Winter Solstice - when the length of the night is the longest.
