One million tourists have visited Kabardino-Balkaria in 2021

The tourist flow to Kabardino-Balkaria has exceeded 1 million people since the beginning of the year. This was announced by the head of the republic Kazbek Kokov at the ceremony of awarding the residents of the republic with state awards.

"The tourism industry is actively developing, the total number of tourists who visited the republic, today we can say that it has exceeded 1 million people. And we said that we will reach this figure only in 2024. Yes, there are various factors that influenced this, but we are effective seized the opportunity, "he said.

In October, it was reported that the tourist flow to Kabardino-Balkaria in the first nine months of 2021 amounted to 840 thousand people, which is 2.2 times more than in the same period in 2020.

Traditionally popular places among the guests and residents of Kabardino-Balkaria are the Elbrus region, the Blue Lakes, the Chegem waterfalls and the paradrome in the Chegem region, the Aushigersk springs and historical and architectural complexes of the Upper Balkaria, the Bezengi alpine camp.
