In 2021, the Karachay-Circassian Republic received 1,749,000 tourists, which is 15% more than in 2020,- agency RIA Karachay-Circassia reports.
The most popular destinations are still the Dombai and Arkhyz resorts, as well as the Teberdinsky National Park. Also among the tourist complex "Honey Waterfalls" and an extreme park that are in demand among tourists.
So, 797 thousand people visited the Arkhyz resort , 842 thousand tourists visited the Dombay resort, and 110 thousand tourists visited the Honey Waterfalls.
It should be noted that there is an annual increase in the number of tourists in the republic. In 2020, a little over 1.5 million tourists and sightseers visited Karachay-Circassia.
The increase in the tourist flow is associated with the active development of the tourism industry in the republic, the large-scale construction of hotel and ski infrastructure facilities.
Today guests and tourists at the resorts can be hosted 237 accommodation facilities with almost 12 thousand rooms.
