Turkish President Rajap Tayyip Erdogan said that the West has not yet done anything to normalize Russian-Ukrainian relations.

"This time I must say it very openly and clearly. If you pay attention to this process, then, unfortunately, the West has not done anything to resolve this issue," the Turkish leader told reporters on the plane after returning from Ukraine.

He explained that earlier ex-Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel actively tried to find the "key" to solve this problem, but now "there is no such leader left." Biden "has not yet been able" to show the world a "positive approach" to the situation. Negotiations between representatives of the foreign ministries of the Russian Federation and the United States did not show any results.

Erdogan also stressed that he hopes for Turkey's participation in solving the current problem.
