Head of Adygea: The Circassian (Adyghe) language is the property of the republic

“In Adygea, Russian and Circassian (Adyghe) languages are equal state languages of the republic. The Russian language, as a national language, serves mutual understanding, strengthening interethnic ties between the peoples of multinational Russia,- the head of Adygea Murat Kumpilov wrote that on his Instagram account in connection with the celebration of the international mother language day on February 21.

He also stressed that the Circassian (Adyghe) language is the property of the republic.

“The wisdom of the ancestors in proverbs and sayings, riddles and fairy tales, the famous epic Narts, prose and poetry works of contemporary authors – all this is the soul of the people, a part of each of us,” Kumpilov wrote.

The head of Adygea added that the Russian Federation at the state level supports the languages ​​of the peoples living in the republic.

“We strive to effectively use existing mechanisms to popularize the native language, and in cooperation with the scientific community, we are working out new solutions on a republic scale,” the head of Adygea wrote.
