"Our vision is that we maintain our own contacts with China," Psaki said at a regular briefing, responding to a reporter's request to comment on Friday's meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing,- mail.ru reports.

“We conveyed to China that a destabilizing conflict in Europe would harm Chinese interests around the world – and China should understand this,” Psaki said.

Kiev and Western states have recently expressed concern about the alleged increase in aggressive actions by Russia near the borders of Ukraine. Moscow has repeatedly denied such accusations, saying that it does not threaten anyone and does not intend to attack anyone, and claims of “Russian aggression” are used as an excuse to deploy more NATO military equipment near Russian borders.
