Conference in Poland: "Ethno-cultural problems of the Circassian nation"

"Ethno-cultural problems of the Circassian nation" - the first North Caucasian conference with this name will be held at the Potockich Palace of Warsaw University on November 7-9 this year. The event will be held under the auspices of the Center for Eastern European Studies at the University of Warsaw and will be dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Department of Oriental Studies at the same university. This announcement was published on the website of the Circassian Cultural Center -circassiancenter.org.

The conference is also organized by the Tbilisi Center of Circassian (Adyghe) Culture and the Institute of Caucasian Studies of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

The opening ceremony of the event will be attended by high-ranking leaders, ambassadors, the dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies in Warsaw, the director of the Center for Eastern European Studies of the same university, the president of the Oriental Studies Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and many other honored guests.

Professor Merab Chukhua will speak at the conference on behalf of the Circassian Cultural Center and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

Representatives of the world's leading Circassian organizations and Circassians will take part in the conference: the founder of the International Circassian Movement - Ishak Mola (Jordan), Chairman of the International Circassian Council - Yad Yagar (USA), writer and public figure - Adel Bashkawi (Jordan), Head Adyge-Khase from the Circassian Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria - Ibrahim Yagan (Northern Caucasus), Head of the Department of Caucasian Studies at the University of Malmö - Karina Vamling (Sweden), representative of the University of World Politics Paul Goble (USA).

Within the framework of the conference, five sessions will be held within 3 days and Caucasian researchers from the scientific circles of France, the Caucasus, Poland, Germany, the USA, Sweden, Great Britain, Jordan, and Turkey will take part in it.

The conference will also include a presentation of the latest scientific publications (2021-2022) about the Caucasus and Caucasians and a round table on the topic: Circassian diaspora in the United States of America and other countries.
