The summer hiking season is coming to an end: several routes of the Caucasian Reserve will be closed on October 15th.

Extreme weather conditions in the mountains at an altitude of more than 2000 meters (this year the first frosts and even snowfalls in the mountains were recorded in late September - early October) caused the closure of routes No. 12 and No. 8. This was reported by the newspaper Sovetskaya Adygea with a link to a message of the press service of the Caucasian State Biosphere Reserve.

All recreational facilities, sightseeing trails in Sochi's Krasnaya Polyana and the Republic of Adygea are working as usual. A full list of tourist services and existing routes can be found on the website of the Caucasian Reserve in the Tourism section.

Last year, the first routes (No. 8, partially No. 8a) were closed on October 4, and the tourist season in the Caucasus Reserve ended on October 18. The 2018 season was unusually long when the routes closed on November 21st.
