October 1, at the initiative of the Circassian Association, a Circassian cultural evening was held in the city of Samsun in Turkey. At the center of the evening was the performance of the Circassian singer Gulcan Altan.
The president of the Circassian association in Samsun Khadiga Ozir in her opening remarks said that the purpose of the evening is to contribute to the cultural life of the city as well as to promote the Circassian culture.
Folk dance performances accompanied by Circassian music were held and where the traditions and customs of the Circassians were explained. After that, the singer Gulcan Altan came on stage and sang songs in the Circassian and Turkish languages.
