In the Karachay-Circassian Republic, Uvzhuk Tkhagapsov was re-elected as the head of the Union of Journalists of the republic for a five-year term,- Agency Ria Karachay-Circassia reports.
As a candidate, the participants were offered the current chairman of the Karachay-Circassian branch of the Union of Journalists Uvzhuk Tkhagapsov and three more candidates. The current chairman of the Union was re-elected by unanimous decision. Colleagues noted that Tkhagapsov's high professionalism and vast experience will guarantee the development of regional journalism.
“It is a great honor for me that my colleagues unanimously chose my candidacy. I will try to justify the trust placed in me. A lot of useful work has been done, but more remains to be done. We, journalists, have a huge responsibility, because the quality of information received by the population depends on us,” Tkhagapsov said.
