November 10 in the great hall of the St. Petersburg State Academy of Art and Industry named after A.L. Stieglitz opens an exhibition of fashion designer from Kabardino-Balkaria Madina Saralp "In the river of time", - information agency RIA Kabardino-Balkaria reports .
The exhibition presents about 40 photographic posters and more than 15 sets of costumes in the Circassian style, created by the master in 2020-2022. In the exposition, next to dynamic photo frames, there are static mannequins presenting the new collection. The project is a continuation of the study of the Circassian costume in the context of time.
As M. Saralp notes, photographs of the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries became a source for creative inspiration and a starting point in reflection on the theme of national costume in the context of time.
The exhibition will continue until November 24.
