The resort "Elbrus" in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of the Circassian (adyghe) homeland is ready to open the season on Saturday, November 19. In the first days of the skiing year, guests will be able to ski on the highest mountain track in Europe, Garabashi - Mir,- information agency Ria Kabardino-Balkaria reports.
Thanks to snowfall and low temperatures, the resort will be able to open the 2022/2023 season earlier than last year. So, in 2021, the ski winter started only on December 4, the slopes below the Mir station were opened on December 19.
At the start, only one track will be available, so the resort will have a favorable Promo tariff: a day of skiing for adults will cost 1600 rubles ($26), for children from 6 to 13 years old inclusive - 1050 rubles ($17).
The resort has 17 km of equipped slopes and three modern gondola-type cable cars. In 2021, 400 thousand people visited the resort.
In the Circassian language Mount Elbrus is called Uashha-Mafe which means Mount of Happiness.
