Circassian Islam Shogenov became the champion of the Russian Federation

Circassian wrestler Islam Shogenov from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of the Circassian homeland became the winner of the Russian Judo Championship in the weight category up to 90 kg.

In the final fight, Islam Shogenov was stronger than Ekubjon Nazirov, representing the Irkutsk region. Bronze in this category was won by Ibragimgadzhi Suleimanov from Dagestan and Sergey Skorobogatov from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the press service of the Russian Judo Federation reported.

The Russian Judo Championship takes place in Yekaterinburg from October 31 to November 4.
