December 29, the National Museum of the Republic of Adygea, hosted a presentation of the catalog “Artistic gold and silver of Adygea” and the art album “Golden embroidery of the Circassians (Adyghs)”. The presentation released as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the statehood of Adygea,- the press service of the Ministry of Culture of Adygea reports.
The catalog "Artistic Gold and Silver of Adygea" is dedicated to the collection of archaeological and ethnographic gold and silver stored in the National Museum. This publication contributes to the formation of a valuable idea of the development of original jewelry art in the ethnic territory of the Circassians.
The art album "Golden embroidery of the Circassians (Adyghs)" introduces readers to the works of gold embroidery art, through which ethno-political, economic and cultural relations can be considered. The album features more than 70 items from the collections of the National Museum and private collections.
