The President of Israel visits the Circassian village of Kfar Kama

December 15, the President of Israel Yitzhak Herzog visits the Circassian village of Kfar Kama.

At the beginning of the visit, Yitzhak Herzog met with the head of the council of Kfar-Kama Zakaria Napso in the office of the council. After that, together they went on to the inauguration of the new cultural hall in the village, in the presence of council leaders from the region and other dignitaries. After that they went to the Circassian Heritage Center, where they were received by residents in traditional Circassian clothing. The guests watched Circassian (Adyghe) dances performed by the village's dance group.

In the Circassian Heritage Center, at the beginning of his remarks, the President addressed the Circassian people in appreciation and said: "This is a very important privilege for us and a great excitement to be here with you and to celebrate with you on your holiday. First of all, I want to thank the Circassian community for its enormous contribution to Israeli society, and for its unique and beautiful color that the Circassian people add to the State of Israel in particular and to the whole world in general.

"You are a great model for Israeli society. Although you are two relatively small villages, you continue to develop and grow and are constantly creating anew. There are leisure, cultural and sports institutions here. Only in regional organizations that reflect the common life, we can broadcast and enhance the wonderful Israeli story that is happening here in the Galilee. Thank you very much and good luck,"-  Yitzhak Herzog said.

"Not only the Circassian community in Israel, the entire Circassian people scattered in over 40 countries are following and watching your visit today to Kfar Kama and here at the Circassian Heritage Center. Thank you and your wife for your respect us",- Zakaria Napso said.
