The Elbrus ski resort in the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria is closed to the second day due to increased avalanche danger,- the resort administration reports.
"Today, February 21, cableways and ski routes in the resort are closed due to avalanche danger and storm warning," the report said.
A storm warning is announced in the region due to an avalanche hazard situation in the mountains, which will remain in the next day.
The Elbrus ski resort is located on the southern slopes of Mount Elbrus (5642 m) on the territory of the Elbrus natural park in Kabardino-Balkaria. It includes about 17 km of tracks of various difficulties and a network of lifts.
