Every year, on March 14, Circassians (Adyghe) from all over the world, in the Circassian homeland and the Diaspora celebrate the day of the Circassian language. They hold conferences, competitions and other activities related to the Circassian language.
The Circassian language day was celebrated for the first time in 2000 in the Republic of Adygea, since that day this holiday is officially celebrated in Adygea.
In the other parts of the Circassian homeland, Circassians in the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, in the Republic of Karshai-Circassia and in the region of Shapsogia - the shores of the Black Sea hold events related to the Circassian Language Day.
