Kumpilov: The preservation of the Adyghe language will ensure the cultural continuity of the generations

 


Today, March 14, the Republic of Adygea celebrates the Day of the Circassian (Adyghe) language and writing. This memorable date is timed to coincide with the release of the primer of the Circassian language by the scientist and educator Umar Bersey. It was published on March 14, 170 years ago in Tbilisi in Arabic script.

As the Head of Adygea Murat Kumpilov wrote in his Telegram page, the preservation and development of the Adyghe language, ensuring the cultural and linguistic continuity of generations, educating young people in love for their native language and respectful attitude to the culture and traditions of all peoples living in the republic, is one of the priority areas of activity of the state authorities of our region.

- We are facing a strategically important task - to form an integrated approach to the preservation and study of the Adyghe language as one of the most important components of the spiritual heritage of Adygea. I am sure that the consolidation of the efforts of the scientific community, state authorities, business circles and public organizations, all caring residents of Adygea will significantly increase the efficiency of the large-scale work carried out in this direction, achieve all the goals, -  the Head of Adygea said.
