The Abkhaz opposition coordinating council will create an interim government if President Aslan Bzhania does not resign, Temur Gulia said , the chairman of the public organization of war veterans "Aruaa" (Warriors), opposition representative, - various media sources report.
"If the president does not resign by the evening, we from the coordinating council will organize an interim government, call all civil servants to work, provide working conditions and control the process of public administration," Gulia said.
Protests have been going on in the republic since November 15, initially their participants demanded the rejection of the bill on ratification of the investment agreement with Russia. The opposition emphasized that the protest is not directed against Moscow, but against the policy of the current president of Abkhazia.
The protesters stormed the parliament and occupied some government buildings. Against this background, Bzhania left Sukhum and arrived in his native village of Tamysh.
