Circassian wrestler Ademirkan Tambiyev from the Karachay-Circassian Republic won the gold medal at the World Junior Sambo Championships (18-20 years old), currently taking place in Indonesia.
"Ademirkan competed in the 88 kg weight class and had three matches, winning confidently against opponents from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Armenia," - the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of Karachay-Circassia reports.
The ministry noted that the athlete demonstrated a high level of technical and tactical training, confirming his status as one of the most promising sambo wrestlers in the Russian Federation.
Ademirkan Tambiyev previously won the World Junior Sambo Championships. He is representing Moscow at the current competition. His mentors are Dmitry Kabanov, Kaplan Bratov, and Magamed Ozov.
As a reminder, the world's strongest sambo wrestlers from 33 countries are participating in the Junior World Sambo Championships.
