The meeting of the Head of Adygea Murat Kumpilov and the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Novorossiysk Firat Bayar took place in the Government House of the Republic of Adygea. the Consul was appointed to this post on October 7 of this year and arrived in the republic on a study visit.
During the meeting, issues of developing regional ties between Adygea and Turkey in the context of strengthening Russian-Turkish relations were discussed.
Murat Kumpilov noted the willingness of the republic to contribute to the strengthening of Russian-Turkish relations. Adygea is consistently working on the development of export potential and is interested in expanding trade, economic, cultural and educational ties with Turkey, and implementing humanitarian projects with the Circassian (Adyghe) diaspora. For this, a visit of the delegation of Adygea under the leadership of Murat Kumpilov to the Republic of Turkey was organized in April, where the investment and economic potential of the republic was presented to the business community in Turkey.
The head of Adygea expressed gratitude to the Turkish leadership for the warm welcome, as well as attention to the region and the large Circassian diaspora, whose representatives work in various fields of activity and contribute to the development of Turkey. According to Murat Kumpilov, such cooperation is one of the essential resources for reliable mutually beneficial Russian-Turkish relations.
“For our region, the development of friendly and business relations with Turkish partners is great importance. And given that the multi-million Circassian diaspora lives in Turkey, they intend to further strengthen humanitarian contacts and expand our interaction in the economy, in the fields of culture, education and science. The potential for cooperation is high.
Fyrat Bayar also emphasized the importance of developing relations between the two countries taking into account the regional component and conveyed greetings to the leadership of Adygea on behalf of the President of Turkey, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and all residents of the country.
“I am ready to assist in holding joint events, promoting investment projects, proposals in the scientific, educational, cultural and other spheres of life,” said Fyrat Bayar.
