Russia: Alexei Navalny hospitalized after suspected poisoning

Opposition leader and outspoken Russian Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny was placed on a ventilator and was unconscious in a hospital in Siberia Thursday after falling ill from suspected poisoning, his spokesperson said.

Navalny, 44, began feeling unwell while on an arrival trip to Moscow from the Siberian city of Tomsk, his representative Kira Yarmysh, said on Twitter. The plane later made a dire arriving in Omsk, she included.

"We expect that Alexei was harmed with something blended into the tea. It was the main thing that he savored the morning. Specialists state the poison was retained quicker through the hot fluid," said Yarmysh.

Navalny stays oblivious and is presently associated with a ventilator, Yarmysh included.
