The Elbrus resort in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic has resumed its work after two days of inactivity due to bad weather, the administration of the resort reports.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the slopes and lifts were closed due to heavy snow and wind. On Monday evening, an avalanche descended on the northern slope of Mount Cheget - near the village of Terskol, as a result no one was injured.
"Today the resort is waiting for guests from 12 noon. Routs from the Mir station to Azau will be opened. The cable cars will operate to the Mir station," the message says.
