Russia handed over to the United States a list of requirements for security guarantees

Against the background of the conflict over Ukraine, Russia handed over to the United States a list of requirements for security guarantees. US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried, who was on a visit to Moscow, received specific proposals, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Yuri Ushakov said on Wednesday, December 15, DW reports.

Earlier, Russia reported that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, during negotiations with Donfried, reiterated that Moscow insists on receiving written guarantees from NATO that it will not expand further to the East. According to Ushakov, Russian President Vladimir Putin hopes for a positive reaction from Washington and NATO to Moscow's proposals.
