Maykop, 13.02.2023 - In the Republic Adygea, at the XXII reporting and election congress of the Adyghe Khase-Circassian Parliament, the congress delegates elected a new council members, who, by their unanimous decision, endowed Ramazan Tlemeshok with the powers of the chairman of the Adyghe Khase-Circassian Parliament of Adygea for another three-year term.
The event brought together about 400 delegates from the municipalities of the republic, as well as numerous guests from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, the Karachay-Circassian Republic, North Ossetia, Abkhazia, Krasnodar Territory and Stavropol Territory. At the beginning of the meeting, those present observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims of earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. It is noted that among the victims of the disaster are numerous representatives of the Circassian (Adyghe) diaspora. These days, to support the victims, a fundraising organized by the Adyghe Khase - Circassian Parliament and the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Adygea and the Krasnodar Territory is open. All possible assistance is provided to Khase by doctors and other public associations and organizations.
Head of Adygea Murat Kumpilov took part in the representative forum. Speaking about the tragedy in Turkey and Syria and the participation of Russian specialists in the aftermath of the disaster at the suggestion of the President of Russia, the head of the region thanked everyone who responded in Adygea and takes part in raising funds for the victims.
The need to maintain social stability and social harmony, support interethnic and interfaith peace in the region was especially emphasized.
“Adyghe Khase has been doing such work for a long time, stands on the positions of the unity of all cultures and maintains a constructive dialogue with the authorities, has become an effective platform for resolving issues related to the preservation and development of the Adyghe language and culture,” Murat Kumpilov said.
