Elif Eralp is a Circassian born in 1981 in Germany. Her parents are Circassians (of the Abzakh subgroup) from Turkey, hailing from the Circassian village of Panlı in the Kayseri province. Her parents immigrated to Germany in 1981, the same year she was born there.
